Physical description: Adrien is about 5'11" with blonde hair and light, greyish-green eyes.
Adrien has been raised by Leoder Kurrmond for as long as he can remember. They've traveled around together until they ended up in Alchaven. Adrien learned all of his training from Leoder so he's a fairly skilled fighter. Leoder told him a little about his real parents (that his mother was a Thaumatur and couldn't keep him, and that his father was a Sansorce and left before he was born) but never anything as specific as their actual names. This has caused him to be very bitter toward both Salaise and its political system and his real parents. He resents being abandoned and finds it very hard to forgive them for it. This hasn't gotten any easier since he's found out the names of his real parents and his brother. He considers Leoder and Selene Valice to be more like family than any of his own. Despite his feelings about Salaise, Leoder arranged for him to attend Wellington for a year. He enjoyed it there, but never really felt that he fit in, especially with the age difference.
After almost being killed by Selene, he woke up in the home of his mother, Anastasia LeFay. Since he can't seem to find Leoder anywhere, he has since been staying with Anna. Though he still holds a grudge, he's trying to give her a chance. Even if he doesn't want to admit it. He's a decent person, but he has a tendency to hold grudges. He's also too moody for his own good. To his credit, he's usually very polite around most people and only makes those closest to him put up with his dark moods.
Case notes: Adrien is one of those characters that still shocks me at how much he's changed from his alter-New Haven-self. I liked the New Haven Adrien better too. He was just the type of guy who really had it together. He was smart, well-read, well-traveled, fluent in several languages, polite, and just . . . likeable. But take Anna out of the equation, and both Adrien and Max's personalities suffer for it, I guess. Oddly enough, in a world where Adrien was never around Max or Anna, he turned out a lot like Max. Whereas, when he had both of his parents, he turned out really well-rounded. The type of kid who, if you know Max and Anna at all, you look at him and say, "He's got to be adopted." That's always struck me as odd. I won't say I dislike this Adrien, but I will say that I far prefer the one who doesn't waste all of this time sulking.
Psst: Just to publicize it . . . I think he's got a crush on Selene. *snickers*
