Physical description: Alethea is fairly tall, 5'9", and slender. She has long, coppery-blonde hair and light green eyes.
Alethea was born in her father's hometown, Inverness, Scotland, but she grew up in a small town in Salaise. When she was a little girl, her dearest friend, Gavin Devereaux, was taken to the capital to learn magic and become a Thaumatur. She has had magical abilities since she was young, but because of her friend, and in part the nature of some of her abilities, she has hid them for fear of being taken away from her family.
Her mother died when she was about nine and a few years later her father remarried. She doesn't get along with her step mother or her Thaumatur step brother. She didn't have to put up with them too much, however. She attended a private school in Co. Galway, Ireland, and usually spent summers with her grandmother in Inverness.
She is in her second year at Wellington Academy. Though she doesn't like the idea of being a soldier, the education interests her and she wants to make her father happy. She's always been shy and prefers to spend time doing things where she can be alone. She doesn't speak up a lot, but she is a bit of an idealist.
Case notes: I like playing with Alethea, but it's just not easy. She's very secretive and she distances herself from people. That makes it a little hard to get her to interact with other characters. Of all of the characters that crossed over to Salaise from some other storyline, I think she may be the one who stayed most like herself. But then, her whole story stayed pretty similar to the Ravenswood version of her too, so that might be the reason.
