Physical description: Colum is about 6' with light red hair and green eyes. He looks a lot like his sister, Bridget, but his hair isn't quite as . . red.
Colum has always been the responsible type. He's had to be ever since he was eight years old, when his parents died and he first began to feel responsible for his sister's upbringing. This has caused him to have a rather serious, reserved personality. He thinks the world of his sister, though she has very little patience for him most of the time. Ever since she left for Salaise when he was 16, he's missed her sorely and he's always eager to hear from her, especially since the phone calls are usually few and far between. He's usually easy to get along with, though a bit shy, but once someone gets him angry, he has quite a temper. He wants to become a priest someday. Due to Bridget voicing her thoughts on the matter, and teasing him quite often, he gets frustrated when people question his reasoning for wanting to join the Church and doesn't like trying to explain himself.
At the moment, he's left Ireland behind and taken up residence in Violesang, where he hopes he can be around for Bridget should she ever need him. He's finally in seminary, though he has started to have some doubts on the goings on of this particular school.
Case notes: This little creep just wormed his way into my heart, I swear, and I didn't even realize it. I like Colum. He's just . . well, I just like him, that's all. It drives me crazy the way Bridget treats him sometimes (if I didn't know how much she really adores him, I'd probably hate her for it) and I always worry that people will see Colum the way Bridget describes him. She doesn't even see him that way, really, but I always think, "Man, they're going to think he's some over-protective, rigid jerk the way she talks." For the record, he's not. I don't even think he's overly protective. Anyway, he's another one of those characters who stayed intact in his cross over from the lodging house universe to the Salaise one. He really didn't change much at all. Except that he's still trying to be a priest over here, and he gave that up in Hoboken. His personality, though, that's about the same. But, you know, with that motorcycle he drives around . . . I do wonder if there's a side of him I haven't seen yet. ;)
