Physical description: Corrigan is 5'9" with brown hair and eyes.
Corrigan grew up in Shanagolden, Co. Limerick with his best friend Rory. His mother ran off to London and married an Englishman when he was about 12 years old. He had a poor relationship with his father, who loved to drink and was pretty controlling and verbally, though never physically, abusive. When he was about 15 he moved in with his grandmother and helped her run the pub.
He was always well-liked in school. He was an honor student and one of the best soccer players on the local team. Most people never quite understood how a good kid like Corrigan ever fell in with a bad apple like Rory, but the two were the best of friends nevertheless, and Corrigan, who otherwise would have had a spotless record, was always getting lectures about responsibility and peer pressure and the like. Rory was a good friend though, and the two were practically like brothers anyway. Corrigan even ate dinner most nights with the Murphys, who considered him to be part of the family.
After his girlfriend died his last year of school, he changed a bit. Instead of going to UCD or Trinity in Dublin, he followed Rory to Wellington. He's been a lot more quiet and reserved in his post-high school career, not really participating in sports or any other activities besides studying and hanging out with Rory. Their friendship hasn't suffered any by it though. Before Corrigan left for school, he promised Rory's older brother, Connor, that he would keep an eye out for Rory and keep him out of trouble. Mostly, this just means he gets dragged into any trouble Rory tries to get into, like always.
Case notes: Corrigan is my all-American Irish character, I guess. (Nope, it isn't meant to make sense.) He was that guy in high school who was popular, one of the favorite players on the football team, a good student, and had a steady relationship the pretty, sweet blonde girl at school. So I'm not even sure how he and Rory stayed friends, but they did. I like his character pretty well, but I'm curious to see if, as he grows, he'll ever work his way back to his more out-going, involved high school self. It's a possibility, but I'm still not sure.
Psst: He blew off numerous football scholarships to go to school in Salaise with Rory.
