Kara comes from a large family and a rather poor one. Other than she and her younger brother, Demitri, her immediate family is made up of all Sansorces. Her brother was always a little more talented than her, so she always had to push herself to learn things. Despite that, they have always had a very good relationship and there is no jealously between them.
She taught her favorite subject, literature, at Wellington. She loved what she did and she was fond of her students, so her class was always one of the more fun classes there, and she was known for being one of the nicer teachers. Unlike Gavin, she was able to keep a balance between making her class challenging and still being fair to the students.
For a long time she never let herself think about politics too much. Once she finally opened her eyes to what was going on, she wasn't able to ignore it anymore. She's been a bit rebellious ever since, and only appears to be getting worse. Even though she's normally a peaceful person, she's started to tend toward more extreme measures than she would have in the past. As she notices that nothing she says, no matter how obvious or reasonable, makes any difference, she just gets one step closer to admitting that words will never be enough to change the situation in Salaise.
