Shantay was born in England. Both of her parents died when she was just a baby. She was raised by her archeologist uncle and traveled all around the world with him on digs. Due to the strange color of her hair, most children avoided her. Brishen, a young boy who joined her uncle's party when she was a young teenager, was her only companion. Aside from her hair, she has another oddity, which she keeps quiet. She has the ability to sense the past through objects that she touches.
