
Brookly, don't jump! May 1, 2004. Our geography class took a field trip to the Witchita Mountains in Oklahoma. This is my roomie, Brooklyn, standing at the edge of the top of Mount Scott. By the way, on a cold morning it gets a heck of a lot colder, and windier, when you go up 1000 feet. It was pretty miserable up here, too bad we didn't schedule this stop later in the day when the sun came out a little.

Uh... a rock with water-filled holes in it at the top of the mountain. A granite rock. *winks* Can't say I didn't learn anything.

A lot of gabbro rock in a much closer to sea-level creek.

Another location where there was a cliff with a river below. It meanders. *nodnod* See? Scenic and educational.
