So many people say
that life is never fair,
maybe they just glance,
don't take the time to stare.
Sure we loose our friends
and people die too young,
before they've lived their life,
before their song is sung.
And people die when they're old
with silver in their hair,
but they know we'll meet again
up in the heavens somewhere.
I knew a kid who rode my bus,
just going into fifth grade,
he used to call me Tinkerbell,
that memory will never fade.
A woman like a grandmother to me
died of cancer the other day.
She loved her life and everyone in it,
still seeing blue in skies of gray.
You see everyone dies sometime,
no matter what their age,
with all the pain in suffering
on earth we're in a cage.
But life is still worth living,
that's why the caged bird sings,
because life's as fair as you made it,
and someday you'll fly on once clipped wings.
~For Chance and Lenore, rest in peace.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
