I have listened to Alkaline Trio for awhile now, and never have I heard such a great band. they use such extraoridnary voices and sounds you wouldnt hear coming from other punk bands. The band in April of 2000, put out a disc, called “Alkaline Trio”. This cd has all of their best songs in one 13 song collection. I have to admit, as much as I like the band, I like their newest album, “From Here To Infirmary” and the album, “Maybe I’ll Catch Fire”, produced a few months before the self-titled album much better. These two have much better sound and the band appears to have better understanding of the music. This band, known for their emotional pop-punk could not of pulled off anything better than these 3 cd’s. This self-titled cd, however is’nt at the top of its game, but the music is still great and the lyrcist voice connects every instrument and makes catchy tunes. If you are obsessed with this band like I am I highly recommend buying as much crap as you can. When they get big, and I know they will you can tell your friends you knew about em’ before they were famous. But only do that if your friend is a jack ass and always says that about the stuff you like.
