I do not have any trees which are close to being completed. Most trees I have growing in large pots to get them to thicken up there trunks. The trees I'm growing are several Ficus, Maples, an Alberta Spruce, Bald cypress, Elm, and Serissa. The winter of 03 was a very hard one and I should have brought my trees inside my unheated garage. I lost a few trees, 2 of my nice ones being Lace Leaf Red Maples.
When I first started to do Bonsai and for some time after I made the mistake of placing all my trees in to small pots as I got them. If you want nice thick trunks, you must let the tree to grow for several years in a large pot or in the ground.

Alberta Spruce that I have done some work on. I would not recommend this tree for bonsai. It's branches even after being wired down, will over time start to point back up in the air. Also back budding does not happen in the same growing season, which makes styling an Alberta Spruce a long process.

Trunk: 1/2"I purchased a pot with several Ficus growing in it from Lowe's. I planted them into larger pots and letting them grow. They have increased in size nicely since I've gotten them. It will still be another 2 years or so till the trunks are as thick as I'd like.
The tree on the right I'm going to make as a double trunk tree. I will be air layering the tree somewhere around the red line.

When I purchased this tree it was over 5' tall. I made a trunk chop at 14". I will be taking another 3 to 4 inches off once I figure out which new growth will be the new leader for the tree.

Elm I recently purchased. Just letting it grow "wild" till I can see which branches I would like to remove.
Some Maples I have started from seed, planted at the same time. The 1 in the small pot was an experiment. It proves the point that having a larger pot will allow the plant to grow faster.
I made this tiny Ficus from a cutting of my larger trees. I wanted to use a smaller pot, but the one I have is too small. I'll have to find one in between. The first branch on the right I want to wire down yet.
This is a Spider plant that I have been growing in this tiny pot for around a year now. Every 4-5 months it's roots push the plant out of the pot. I then trim the roots and place it back in the pot.
A Pansy that I started from seed early 03. It never bloomed for me. I have discarded the plant as it was getting very leggy.
I decided to place these pictures of my orchid on here so you have something that at least I think looks neat. Hopefully some time in the future I'll have some nice pictures of my trees.
