MAEOPP Speakers Bureau

Purpose:

The Speakers Bureau for the Mid America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MAEOPP) is comprised of dedicated Educational Opportunity Program professionals who are experts in the areas of student success, retention and attrition in higher education, learning strategies and styles, college and career planning, college funding, grant writing, and leadership development. Members of the MAEOPP Speakers Bureau are willing to make presentations and share their expertise at conferences, lectures, and other events with professionals representing K-12 and postsecondary educational institutions, community organizations, youth development programs, and other professional associations that are dedicated to student success.

Objectives:

The purpose of the MAEOPP Speakers Bureau is to:

1. Promote awareness of TRIO Programs
2. Establish professional relationships with, and create collaborative efforts between, TRIO and other professional organizations with similar objectives in an effort to assist students and help them succeed
3. Impact decision making that affects TRIO and TRIO eligible students
