Asteroid and Comet Impact Hazard Bibliography (1992-1998) Note: The following list contains only important
recent scientific papers on this subject. In general, the list
does not include papers on Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 and its collision
with Jupiter, on the KT impact and mass extinction, on meteors
and meteor showers, or on the dynamics and physical properties
of meteorites, comets and asteroids, unless these papers relate
directly to the impact hazard or planetary defense. A few books
on the subject are included, but most references are to technical
papers in the refereed professional literature. Back to Contents ![]() Deflection and fragmentation of near-Earth asteroids. Nature 360:429-433 (1992) Influx of interplanetary bodies onto Earth.
