Meg and Alan Prem

Alan Prem was born in South India and has been in this country for  forty one years, is married to Meg and they have three grown up children and four grandchildren. Alan is a retired Medical practitioner and specialised in paediatrics at St.John’s hospital in Chelmsford before joining a practice in Wickford where he worked as a G.P. for over 30 years.

Alan and Meg became  Christians over 20 years ago and have been attending Elim Christian Centre in Chelmsford for the last 10 years.

Meg is an exiled Geordie and has been in the South East for thirty seven years. She is a qualified nurse and now works as a Relate Counsellor.

Alan and Meg have co-ordinated the Family Ministries in their Church for the last three years and have a loyal and committed team working with them.

 Their great passion is to see every aspect of family life enriched and have a particular desire to help couples enrich their marriages. They are involved in running Pre-marital and Marriages courses .The Family Ministries at their Elim Christian centre also have team members who run courses in Parenting 0-10 years, Teenage Parenting and Step-Parenting. Other events include Stress seminars and Seminars on issues affecting Teenagers. At the present time there are plans to set up a Marriage Supporters group.

The next Marriage Course starts on 10th January 2002 and runs for seven weeks at Elim Christian Centre.

Alan has been a member of Rotary for twenty-five years, is a keen golfer and makes a mean curry !! Meg is also a keen golfer and an ardent supporter of the Toon Army!
