Only true fans of the Simpsons appreciate this painting. I have only done one because no one in my family is a Simpsons fan except for myself. And since art is a form of expression for others to appreciate, it is best to impress the audience that will be looking at them rather than the artist himself.
Note: The people from Springfield all have
yellow skin, therefore you don't have to spend hours trying to get the perfect
shade of peach for skin color. Their clothes are all one solid color and outlines
are done in black, therefore these characters are one of the easiest cartoons
to illustrate. To a fan like me that’s just another benefit for painting
these toons. This is the first jumbo picture in my collection that I have illustrated.
It is not one of my best, mainly because it is one of my first, although I am
proud of all my compositions.
