& Tweety Tweety is the second picture I completed and Sylvester is the third. Tweety is reported to be the favorite of my older sister, and Sylvester is the favorite of both of my parents. Tweety is a very light colored bird. Yellow feathers and big light blue eyes, therefore the background had to be chosen very carefully. So I made it a very light and foggy purple, allowing the light yellow bird to stand out in the portrait. Sylvester is a very bad pussycat. If you look at his eyes in the picture, they will follow you where ever you go. He's also a dark black cat, so I made the background a real standout prominent blue. The hardest thing in this kind of painting is when you have to fill in a black object. Sly is black therefore the only way you could see his eyebrows is if you paint them white. What I do is first I paint the white objects, then I paint around them very carefully with the black. If you ever run into this situation try it this way, it is much easier in avoiding errors.
