Character Analysis

Neherenia is weak. She was lonely her entire life, first surronded by subjects that only saw her beauty but did not really know her, and later isolated on a cold, dark, planet. She had no friends. So Neherenia turned herself against the world that had shut her out, lashing out at anyone who didn't do as she pleased. She surronded herself with pretense, calling herself the true Queen of the Moon, the most beautiful woman in the universe. She did her hair like Queen Serenity's, wore moon insignias, found people to carry out her commands and go along with her game. And she directed all her resentment at the most available source of her problems-the White Moon.

Neherenia sat for years alone in the New Moon, building up her hate, waiting for the opportunity to release it all on the reincarnations of her enemies. And that opportunity came. But attacking the White Moon wasn't enough. They refused to suffer, refused to end up as Neherenia had. Because they had the one aspect that she couldn't grasp, couldn't imitate-the capacity to forgive and forget. Neherenia didn't have the strength to deal with the truth, that she ruined her chances by killing all her subjects and setting up the Dead Moon. Instead of facing this, she would attack anyone who saw her weaknesses-her physical powers were her only defense. So they broke down the walls Neherenia set up, and saw her true goal. Neherenia didn't want power, or the White Moon, or Helios. All she truly wanted was friendship.
