Neherenia appears in both SuperS and Stars. She is the leader of the Dead Moon Circus, and is searching for the Golden Crystal. When she was a child, Back in the Silver Millenium, Neherenia was the Queen of the New Moon. She was loved by all her subjects, but lonely. She would stand in front of her mirror often. When Neherenia was older, she was very beautiful. She said she wanted to be beautiful forever, and asked the mirror what the future of this wish would be. The mirror showed her and ugly old woman. Horrified, Neherenia resolved to find a way to always stay beautiful. She learned that if she ate the dream mirrors of her people, she could stay beautiful forever. So she did, and kept the remains of her subjects as servants.

Soon, she was all alone on the New Moon, a dark, cold planet. She was very jealous of the White Moon, and wanted to take over it and the rest of the universe. She heard about the Golden Crystal, which would give her the power to fullfill her desire. But Helios, guardian of the Golden Crystal, said only those with beautiful dreams could touch it. Neherenia tried to take the crystal and it burned her. Neherenia was later imprisoned by Queen Serenity on the New Moon. She was sealed inside a mirror, asleep, until the Amazoness Quartet woke her up. She gives them the balls they use as a present.

Neherenia was still sealed inside a mirror, and in the present she comes to Earth during an eclipse. She sets up the Dead Moon Circus in Tokyo, and proceeds to search for the dream mirror that contains Pegasus, a form of Helios, so that she take the Golden Crystal from him.
