A
Serious
Proposal
Home
I have wanted to put this proposal in writing and show it to the sissy community from the first week I began playing Sissyfight. I thought it was too controversial and didn¡¯t feel confident at that time to discuss it, but it has remained in my thoughts and I feel, if I wait to talk about it anymore, the problem I see, will have become to big to bother trying to fix.
The subject matter of my proposal is regarding the ranking system. I would like to say here I have given a great deal of thought about this subject and I will try to covey, as clearly as I can, the intention of my proposal, and why I see the present system as an inaccurate portrayal of skill.
I consider this game to involve primarily, strategy and social dynamics and it is both social and competitive. Individuals who play this game can appreciate either the social or strategic aspects, or both. The rankings enhance the competitive nature of the game, and I feel they add to it (by rewarding a player for skill in game play.)
Here, I am hoping to diffuse responses irrelevant to what I wish to be a serious discussion. To those who would say, I just play to have fun, I don¡¯t care about rankings, I ask that you don¡¯t post here, I also enjoy this game and I look forward to seeing you on the school yards and in homeroom, it is a great game and can be a lot of fun (it is my #1 form of entertainment presently.)
The point I am making is, the present ranking system and ones position on the boards is part of the dynamic of the game and the social interaction that occurs, and plays a part in the game strategy as well (example: alliances and partnerships formed.) I have observed that as a player enters the top 20 all time champs there win % in almost every case goes up (I believe that this comes from more game experience, but I also think that popularity factors into it.) Because of this observation rank is a subject that matters to me. The problem I have noticed from my earliest examination of the rankings boards is that ¡°rank¡± is not just a measure of a sissy¡¯s skill, which is something that the brownie point, I would hope, was meant to reward, but, and especially as of late, a measure of how much a player plays the game. I fall to the side of recognizing a players skill, rather than how much they play the game, though this does show a certain dedication (or addiction  .)
I would like to include some info I took from the rankings board on Aug. 19th between 2:30 and 3:00 am (pst). It is arranged in order of # of games played
