It has a somewhat high level of reading difficulty that is necessary to the overall value of the book. Plot Summary: Basically the story takes place in Mexico where a priest is on the run from authorities. The government has put a ban on the catholic church and all priests that refuse to renounce thier faith were executed. The story follows months of one of the last priests as he struggles with himself and questions his own faith. while avoiding near death on many counts. |
