Dear Captain Janeway,

They said I could write one letter, and I immediately thought of you.  I know you'll pass everything on to the proper people.

Firstly, I want to thank you for everything you did for us on Voyager.  You have been brave, trusting and resourceful, and it saved my life many times.  But please don't blame yourself for my death – I must admit that an exploding power coil wasn't the way I would have chosen to go, but we all have to die eventually.  And I'm with my family again, which is a strange and wonderful gift after so many years of believing that the Great Forest was a myth.  Please thank Commander Chakotay for being so patient and helpful during that time.

Could you please give Commander Tuvok a nice hug for me?  And once in a while, prepare my special plomeek soup for him.  He never says anything, but I know it always makes him happy.

And Captain, please look after Naomi.  She needs to know that people care about her.

And would you please tell Tom and B'Elanna that it was a pleasure being their friend.  And, well, if you could persuade them to name they baby after me…?  Well, perhaps not.  But tell them that I'm sorry I won't be around to see it grow up.

And as for you, Captain, please take care of yourself!  I guess no one will be preparing special snacks for you now, but promise me that you'll eat properly.

PS  Did I leave a hotplate on in the mess hall? I have this nagging feeling that I forgot to switch it off, and I don't want to spend eternity worrying about it.
