BA says they were "belligerent and haughty"
Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues

Date of Incident: 6/18/1998

My husband and I just got back from a timeshare tour in Pagosa Springs, CO with the Fairfield resorts.

Youch, it was not fun!!!! They did the same thing to us, when we stated that we wanted to time to check the company etc. out, they became rude and stated that the only reason we wouldn't sign that day was because we either didn't have the money or weren't interested. I told that we were interested but didn't want to put our money into anything based upon a 2 1/2 hour (was supposed to be 2) presentation.

They pulled in the extra people, just like yours, and by the time they got through with us ( especially the, "buy now or you'll lose all the extras") the only thing I could think of was the Better Business Bureau advice..... "If the company insists that you sign Today and the offer isn't good after you've taken the time to check them out... then it's high pressure, something's probably wrong with the company and you should RUN not walk out of there!" They had me soooooo pissed off with their belligerent and haughty attitude I will now be sure to let everyone know about this type of bad sale experience.

I agree with you that timeshare does seem to be a great way to be able to get away without the traditional travel constraints, but I feel that there should be a web site showing the good, bad and the ugly so that consumers can be aware of who to avoid!!!! Thanks for letting me vent.
