BPH They Nearly Refused to Let Us Cancel
Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues
Date of Incident: 6/12/2003
We went through the same scenario and foolishly bought a timeshare. The very next morning I was back in the same closing office writing them a letter of recission cancelling the deal. I had the very same notary sign it and the Westgate official sign it and then insisted that she stamp it with her notary seal. She said she was "locked out" of her desk and could not get to it !!! Can you believe that crock? I told her to get it notarized whatever it takes and she relented and got her associate to stamp it. You know the state gives you 10 days to cancel the deal don't you? Upon returning home to Tx. I find a message on my answering machine from "Howard" wanting me to call him. I call the # after hours and inform him via voicemail to email me anything that he has to say so that I can have a record to submit to the proper authorities. I also emailed a reply to the closing officer Litza telling her the same thing and I ask her to reinterate that sentiment to "Howard" and I inform them that I know how to spell "Attorney". So far, 2 hours later into their workday, I have not received a reply from either of these good folks. Am sorry that you did not do the same as me. Wadda u think?
