Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues

Dear Lisa, I just found your website about West Gate resorts. They bought out our timeshare this year. We own a 3 bedroom timeshare in Branson Illinois. I have been reading about them and would like to know if anyone out there owns a time share from Grand Vista Resorts in Branson Missouri. We upgraded to a 3 bedroom last year and paid 8,000 for this upgrade.
The reason we bought this was because we were promised that if we upgraded that we would not be having to pay anymore maintience fees or split fees. My husband is in a wheelchair and we go to Branson twice a year and they have treated us like very special people. Well these people bought out our timeshare and will not honor this contract. The bad thing about this is that the 3 bedrooms we bought we cannot use. These are not wheelchair accessible.
We of course will fight this but this will take cooperation with the people of Branson. We just now received a bill for special fees with no explanation for what the fees are for. And the great news is that it is due the first of December. Well we will be in Branson on the 13th and we get to meet these new owners. I am concerned about the way the people are treated. I will plan to demonstrate in front of the resort with banners and give out flyers and of course I will travel to Branson as much as I can to let Branson know who is in their town.
