Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues

I want to thank you for speaking up on this matter. By you doing this, it could allow us "Owners" to maybe do something serious to this company. via: lawsuit action. Who knows? Our story is a combination of the other stories. Here it is:
My husband and myself went to Gatlinburg Tennessee to get away for a long weekend without the kids. Living in Hendersonville, North Carolina its a nice trip and not too far away. We went on a timeshare tour with Westgate to thier new condos. We were promised tickets to a show, dinner, and 90 minutes. Of course it took 4 hours, almost missed the show and we were too tired to eat dinner!
Well, we bought, why? Don't know. We bought an every other year thing, and with me growing up with timeshare that my parents owned, we thought we knew what we were doing. HaHaHa..... Our salesman, J. Denton, mentioned that they had a "buyback" program, and he was able to offer us this deal because a divorced couple had "given" it back to Westgate. So, with that in mind, (a good sales tactic), we felt comfortable!
In July of this past year I lost my job, and when I tried to first reach J. Denton they acted like they didn't know who he was, and second, they don't offer a "buyback" program! Of course not! I went to the "Director" of the Westgate resort, spoke to his secretary, and she told me that, "no such sales pitch is ever said"..... I called her and the company a fraud and then contacted the BBB of Tennessee. I contacted the Chamber of Commerce, trying to reach the congress people in that state, no luck.
Well we are still stuck with timeshare. In one way, its a good thing, we went to Key West Florida this past April, stayed in a 5 star Resort, only had to pay our exchange fee, and had a blast, but then again, the maintenance fee keeps going up, and now we had to pay up front $500. to sell it on the internet. Of course it has not sold!
I would like to get some kind of petition going with the other "owners" and see if we can't take our stories to Congress. No-one wants to listen to our stories. Westgate has to be stopped, they tell fake stories just to get you to buy. I have also written through e-mail to them, they have not answered me.
Lisa thank you again for starting this web site. Please share my story along with my email address to anyone who wants to contact me about Westgate, we as people of America can complain all we want, but until we do some ACTION we will not be heard!!
