In 1943, Sin Kwang The' was born and would be the future Grandmaster of Shao-Lin.  He was attracted to martial arts at a young age and began his first form of training  with sand burning training.

Grandmaster Sin became a student of Ie Chang Ming's only after being put through many tests of worthiness.  He received his black belt at the age of 13.  For his test he had to spar seven other students while blindfolded.  He also had to do all his forms blindfolded and Grandmaster Ie would put bo's and weapons in his way so he had to make every strike hard.

In 1964, Grandmaster Sin was preparing to go to Germany to study engineering and physics, but the Berlin crisis altered his plans. He met a couple from Lexington, Kentucky and they arranged a scholarship for him at the University of Kentucky. He visited Indonesia often to complete his training.  In 1968, Grandmaster Ie awarded him the 10th degree and Grandmaster's red belt.  Sin Kwang The' became the youngest Grandmaster in the history of Shao-Lin.

Grandmaster Sin was on the verge of completing his engineering studies when Ie Chang Ming died. He had to make a choice of his degree or Shao-Lin.  He realized that there were many engineers and he was the only Shao-Lin Grandmaster and chose to teach Shao-Lin.  Now Grandmaster Sin heads over 111 schools in the United States and a countless number of students.
