This is a collection of Absurd Fairytales. While the humor is rather quirky, it will appeal to those that like life with a dose of absurdity.

The fairytales stand on their own, though they have a unifying element: the loving relationship between a mother and her son Alex that unravels as she tries to invent fairytales for him.

As the tales progress and Alex grows, he asserts his own creativity. He becomes impatient with the stories altogether.

Absurd Fairytales is a sample of author Ella Veres’ whimsical fantasizing and her deeper understanding of universal themes.  “I wrote them in different moods and periods. I wrote some while I was soaking in the thermal bath on Margret Island in Budapest ; others, while grieving after the death of my child's father. Though the tales allowed me my own personal flights of fancy, they also fostered a more profound connection between my son and me.”
