All pendants feature hand carved work which includes Hawaiian Plumeria (frangipani) flowers, Hawaiian maile leaves, coconut palms, Hawaiian hula girls, Hawaiian hula skirts and Hawaiian heirloom scrolling. Kahiko Collection is highly recognized for it's mix of traditional Hula Dancing themes and Hawaiian Jewelry engraving techniques. Kahiko designs incorporate sterling silver with precious metals finishes, including rhodium and 14 carat gold. The range incorporating a 14k gold finish is available with yellow or rose gold.

We use only the highest grade standard .925 Sterling Silver Hawaiian jewellery made from 92.5% pure silver, with added metal alloys for strength. "Sterling silver" is at least 92.5% silver and up to 7.5% other metals, usually copper, and is hallmarked with "925". Fine silver (99.99% pure) is generally too soft for producing lasting wearable jewellery or other functional silver objects.
We also only use solid 14 carat gold in yellow, rose, white and tricolour in our Hawaiian jewellery items. As such, our items are hallmarked with 14K, 585 or 583. Pure gold (fine gold) is 24 carats, so theoretically 100% gold, as this makes items far too costly, so 14 carat (mid range in gold terms) is used as it provides an excellent quality which allows production of items in colours other than just yellow, combined with reasonable pricing.
