Question: Besides Earth, do you think there is life out there in the universe? Mrs Quick: Absolutely! We cannot assume that we are the only intelligent life in the universe any more than we assumed the sun travels around the earth. Just because we haven't figured out munch about what is "out there" doesn't mean there is nothing there. Mr. Hunter: To assume that we are the only being in the 100 billion galaxies with 100 to 500 billion stars in each galaxy, We cannot be the only life out there. Someday we will be able to prove it. Maybe not in my life time or yours, but "others" exist in time .We will be in touch . "E.T. ,please phone ,we are waiting!" Rosie: I think that there is life on other planets. Life occurs in many forms from big to small.. I've learned that not all life live in conditions that is inhabitable. Extremophiles, for example live in environments that we, the people think that is too extreme for life. If extremophiles can live in extreme conditions, then they might be able to live in the extreme conditions of other planets. Lisa: Certainly!!! I really think that there's possible life out there in space. Like Rosie said, if extremophiles can sustain in unique and extreme conditions on earth, there is a really good chance that there is "life" somewhere out there. I truly don't think we are "alone" in this universe. "There is life out there... not organisms that look like the ones on earth." Mars and Europa is definitely where there are really big possibilities of "life". I truly believe this because earth once contain only microbial organisms. Anna: I think there is life on other planets. Other planets have the right conditions for life. If extremophiles on earth can live in such extreme conditions, then maybe there will be life on other planets. We are only one galaxy, there are millions of galaxies in the Milky Way. It's impossible that we are the only life in those millions of galaxies. Vien: I definitely think there are other life on other planets besides earth. Scientists had already predicted that there was once life on Mars. Living organisms needs liquid water, energy, and nutrients. There are other planets besides earth that provides all these materials for life. Lyly: I would say there is a great deal of possibility of life on other planets. So far from the numerous space missions that have collected some kind of evidence, show that we are probably not the only life being out in our universe. The data that has been recieved from Mars shows that life could be out there, even though not a live sample has been found yet. So basically, there is most likely life out there somewhere in space. |
