How to build a silencer

Materials

• PVC pipe that fits on the outside of your barrel snugly (and if your pipe is a little small that will work to).
• A drill with a 3/16 inch drill bit.
• Open cell type foam
• Tape (preferably duct tape if you want it permanent, masking tape if you want it cleanable for ball breaks).
• A sheet of rough sand paper (60 or 80 grit).
• Some time and a lot of patience.

How to make and assemble

1.    Take the PVC pipe and if it fits over your barrel you can skip this step but if your pipe is to small you can cut slits down the sides of the pipe about 2 or 3 inches long so it fits over the end of your barrel.

2.    Take the piece of PVC pipe as long as you want (the longer the quieter) and start drilling holes in it as close    together as you can get.  Drilling holes from end to end except the part where it goes over the barrel.

3.    And keep drilling holes until the whole PVC pipe is covered except the part where it goes over the barrel.

4.    Now that your done drilling the holes take the sandpaper and sand off the burrs on the outside of the pipe.   Then sand off the burrs in the inside of the pipe by rolling up the sand paper so it fits in the barrel and then stick the sandpaper in the barrel and turn it around so it takes off the burrs.

5.    Now take the foam and wrap it around the barrel so the ends meet going down the barrel.  Then take the tape and wrap it around the foam making an air seal on the foam.

6.    Then take the silencer and place it on your barrel so it fits snugly you may have to tape it on.
