Imagine a big kid beating up a little kid at the playground.

Would you go in, as a parent not necessarily related to either kid, and start punching the big kid and telling him that he had to back off so you would stop beating him up?

How do you think this would affect the behaviour of either kid?

Would the smaller kid be safe once you had left the playground?

Would you have to stick around to watch over the big kid forever?

Would the big kid feel remorse and stop bugging the little kid or would he simpy wait
for the right moment to eliminate the little pest for good?

Would he respect you for interfering and feel really bad
about his behaviour?
