Hardware/Software Technical Support. Responsibilities include guiding the user through software and
hardware difficulties on Win95, WinNT, and Win2000 systems. Troubleshooting hardware devices such as
modems, routers, patch panels, HUB's, work-stations with touchscreens on a small network, battery
backups, hard drives, motherboards, Omniview switch boxes, and Kyocera and Okidata printers. Common
software applications used include Micros Res3.1, RTI Portal, ISQL, Lotus Notes, Adobe Acrobat Reader,
MS Word and Excel, and custom software the company's developers designed. Maintaining high customer
relations with the end user is a high priority; therefore, this position requires superior
communication skills.

Pro Crane Services
Designed a visual wire rope safety factor calculator for this site. This was written in HTML and
JavaScript, and is free and open source. The purpose of this program was to gain work experience
and provide this site with a visual display for calculating critical safety factors. To view this

Knowledge and Skills
Advanced experience in Unix using C/C++, Perl/tk, and extensive OOP in Java using JBuilder.
Intermediate experience in Python, Visual Basic, Tcl/tk, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, and HTML. I also
posses novice experience in SQL and ASP. Other software experience includes JMP Statistical software,
HEAT Data Logging, Carbon Copy Remote Access, and SSH Secure Shell.
Operating system experience includes Win9X, 2000, XP, Unix/Solaris.
Hobbies
I enjoy playing tennis, biking, and skiing on a regular basis with my family. During the fall and winter,
I enjoy watching NCAA football. In my offtime, I also enjoy working on individual projects in software
