I'm a 21 year old male born in Broken Hill, and now living in Bendigo (Australia). I am in my fourth year of studying a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Computer Science at Monash University (Melbourne); my Arts major is Archaeology, with minors in German Language and History. My personal (read: non-course related) lines of study are in Middle Egyptian language, Egyptian Religion in the New Kingdom, Witchcraft through the ages, Quenya (High Elvish) and Tengwar (Elvish Letters), Perl and C++ programming, GNU/Linux (the workings thereof), and computer security.
I do not have much in the way of hobbies and the like really. I occationally play computer games - mostly ADVENT and NetHack, though a little Diablo I/II from time to time - and watch the occational movie: usually commedies, though I do enjoy a good anime, however it is not too often I get the chance. I also enjoy curling up with a good book (typically the Fantasy genre), however I rarely put down a book once I have started it, so they do not tend to last very long. I spend most of the rest of my time hacking, except when responding to emails or posting on fora. When I feel inspired, I drop whatever I am doing and compose a poem or write some prose; as I get around to it, I'll be adding some of them to this website: please feel free to comment!

It is often asked of me why my whole thing with Elves (eg Quenya, they always feature in my tales, `Elric' from the Old English `Ælfric', meaning 'elf ruler', etc). To be honest, I don't have the faintest idea where it came from. Indeed, until the first person asked me this, I had not even noticed it myself. Sorry if that's not the kind of answer you were looking for, but it's the best I can provide: I just do, nothing more, nothing less.
Also, before another person emails me this, I know Elric in Shining Force II was from South Parmecia! Many, many years ago, I was programming an unofficial sequel to the game, and in that Elric was living on Grans Island: that is the short explanation to why I go by Elric of Grans. As a point of random trivia, did you know that in the Japanese version, it was the Centaur Eric who was called Elric?
