311 is: 311 was started in Omaha, Nebraska, by 5 people.  They are Nick Hexum (vocals, guitar, programming), Doug (S.A.) Martinez (vocals, scratches), P-Nut (bass), Tim Mahoney (guitar), and Chad Sexton (Drums).  He's got a nice frickin' set!!!  Anyways, they were originally called Unity but later called 311 beacuse their original guitar player got caught skinny-dipping in someone's pool, and the police code for indecent exposure in Omaha is 311.  Some people have thought that it means KKK, but that rumor has been cleared up.  But if you think that it means KKK, you can E-mail me (three_eleven_311@juno.com) and I'll get very angry at you.  Now 311 means "five people making music" or "A number dictated to us by a higher intelligence".  The coolest thing about them is that 311 has a message of peace, love, unity, and understanding.            Home         Pics         Sounds      Music Gear           Discography
