Design Process

The engineering design criteria and specification involves the application of scientific, technical, mathematical and empirical knowledge to the development and analysis of basic functional features for models, devices, equipment, product and further subdivisions into mechanical mechanism. An outline of the design process:

  1. Feasibility phase
  2. Specification Phase
  3. Conceptual Design Phase
  4. Embodiment Design Phase
  5. Detail Design Phase.

 Concept classification tree

The concept classification is used to divide the entire space of possible solutions into several distinct classes, which will facilitate comparison and pruning. It shows the relationship background information, market research, product specification and concept ideas.
