Welcome to the homepage of the Philadelphia Suomi-koulu! Tervetuloa! The Philadelphia Suomi-koulu is a language school for children and adults, founded in 1999. It meets every other Sunday at the American Swedish Historical Museum in Philadelphia.
The curriculum includes:
... teaching the Finnish language and expanding students' knowledge of vocabulary and grammar
... keeping Finnish culture and heritage alive by teaching reading and writing, facts about Finland, Finnish songs and games, folk dances, arts and crafts
... celebrating Finnish holidays
... making and tasting Finnish food.
