Choice or Fad?

    Recently, the number of single parents have been increasing. For many reasons. For example, the fathers or mothers, either commited themselves in sexual acts and never stuck around for the child, or they get together and try to work it out and are never what they seem to each other. Hormone - crazed people would also fall into this category.

     Years ago, a lot of people would have only have made intercourse if they wanted a child. There are numerous reasons and causes, that have led down this road over the years. It has become so common, that people start to think: "If others can do it, why can't I?" What these people don't understand is that the single parents that had gone through it all, didn't have a choice. You can drive a car with your feet if you wanted to, that does not make it a good idea.

    In doing so, destroys a childs faith in the power of family, seeing as they never had a mom&dad. For a child to become orderly in this world, they need the teaching of BOTH parents, never just the one, no matter how brilliant they are. Studies have shown that crimes are more likely to happen by people who came from distraught and broken families. The old adage applies here. "That which does not kill you only makes you stronger." That might be true for the parent, however, the child is weakened by this.

    In closing, I say this: If you parents, come from a family that has been through the worst thick and thin, and you have pleasing memories of that, shouldn't your own child have the same benefit?
