Eltham Auskick Hall of Fame
Mary McCleary
Involvement in childrens sport is one of the simple pleasures of life. In an ever busy world, special time with our children in a shared endeavour helps build those bonds that last forever. What is the price of your child's smile as he/she glances your way after kicking a goal?

Yet junior sport would not exist without the selfless efforts of volunteer parents who make it tick.
Mary urges Glen Archer to go harder!
Mary McCleary has been a fixture, the heart and soul of Eltham Auskick, for the last 11 years. Mary is the ever-friendly smiling face who coordinates the Auskick canteen, providing not just hot coffee and donuts, but a focal point to help new mums and dads feel connected.

With four beautiful children, all of whom have progressed through the Eltham Auskick ranks, and wife of distinguished local GP Alan McCleary, Mary typifies the spirit of selfless community involvement and willing participation that makes our program so great. A football fanatic and ardent Bomber supporter, Mary also understands that to truly appreciate the ecstasy of victory (1984, 1985, 1993 & 2000 grandfinals) one has to have suffered the agony of gut-wrenching defeat (1999 preliminary final).

Thank you Mary, you're a great chick, from all of us at Eltham Auskick!
