Ocean breeze crawls Through a window pane Of a little cottage Down yonder lane It brings chills Like the air at dawn But whispers Like a tiny fawn Sending sents of cooking From a wood stove fire Telling tales of hope Love and desire Around the cottage It flies Singing songs of truth And lies Until it finds Another crack The speed of grace It does not lack Then out it goes Into the morning light Back to the sea And out of sight |
