CHAPTER 2

Sometime in September, she went to my apartment while I was not there. I remember it was early in the morning, right before the work that I went to the nearest Shopping Plaza in Long Beach. Can you imagine my surprise and see my face when suddenly I saw Roxanne wondering there too. To my greatest surprise, she was looking for me and found me at the Mall, after the apartment Manager told her where I went. Later on the Manger told me that she has found Roxanne wondering on the premises and piping through the windows, amazing is it not? Roxanne wanted to see my new apartment that I just rented. Suspecting nothing at that time I wanted her to see it. This morning was my lucky one and without any disruption we have left for work right away.

September 15, 1990

Nevertheless, the whole excitement was about to begin. During the weekend, which falls on September 15, my car was burglarized, this happened on Sunday. Somehow, I seem to have a fatal attraction that magnetizes criminals. They always seem to be around me. Very interesting because I came to my Sponsors, a distant family, without knowing anybody. Seems quite obvious that only the INS knows me, and sends all those prostitutes, pimps and others after me. This is one of their jobs they do, parallel with communism! Amazingly enough they always know how to find those foreigners in America and to rob them. They must have a good information system to track it down people like me. This is not the only surprise I received on that morning. While I was involved with the arrangement to get the police to my place and get the report, my telephone rang in the most inconvenient moment. I pick up the phone. It was Roxanne on the other line. Did she know what has happened to me this morning or just the simple coincident? Hard to say what brought her to me on that morning, but after hearing my problem, she offered help. The next morning, Roxanne supposes to come and pick me up to work. Hard to imagine that she would be driving extra 30 miles just to give me ride to work--stupid me. Having no choice, I agreed not knowing whether I will be able to operate my vehicle. The whole ignition systems were messed up and radio taken out.
