During the day I have received phone call from the headquarter; Revenue Officer from Laguna Niguel was calling. He was looking for an interpreter, to translate from polish into English. For a female taxpayer, newcomer, a native of Poland, who could not speak English well enough to tell her story of money have gone to the dogs. During conversation she described her relationship with abusive husband as failing apart, and on the edge of separation. But wait; there were taxes to be paid. Although, she was not the one who got the business and the money, she fulfilled her obligation by giving the money to her husband to pay the IRS. Happy camper with $1000.00 in his pocket, a job and a business, and a wife with the bill. What's the big deal? Story like many others, nothing unusual, every now and then, story like this pups up. There are probably as many women as the fish in the ocean that had it. The peculiar thing about it is what the IRS did, Ms. Elizabeth Martha in this case. As contrary to their normal rule, she blocked any action that could have been taken against the woman's husband, who got the job and the business--the money there is, leaving a poor woman with the bill.
