Just as I awake and take
my first morning breath,
you are in the air
and flowing throughout me.
In my thoughts you wander,
drifting quietly
into my mind,
morning, day, or night.
Going through the
motions of the day,
you are the one thing
that brings a smile.
Lying awake in darkness
I wish for you near,
yearning for even a
second in your arms.
And as I sleep,
I dream of a day to come;
