Uncle Tom is a character from a 19th Century book that contains slaves rising against their masters, about against extreme racism. SLAVE TO THE WAGE This is a song bout not working yourself into an early grave. It is about running away and following your dreams. Maggie's farm was a song by Bob Dylan. COMMERCIAL FOR LEVI No. Not the jeans. This is about drugs, and loving someone so much, and feeling the pain of knowing that they are on the verge of dying. "Spunk and bestiality, its an Assisi lie" This is a line refering to St. Francis of Assisi, a saint who loved animals. This is pushing it further saying there was something sexual between the animals and him. The name of this song is a dedication to a man, named Levi, who saved Brian, after he nearly walked into the middle of the road and got hit by a bus. Brians way of repaying him was to put his name in a song. HAEMOGLOBIN A bitter song about racism. Based on a song which contains images of black decaying fruit hanging from trees, "Strange Fruit" by Billie Holiday. The first verse is of anxiety about dying, and then in the second verse, he is brought down, and the felings of confusion bewilder him. By the last verse these feelings become rage, and anger. NARCOLEPTIC This is about someone that is confused, and unable to stay awake. They are only able to write their sentance, while the whole world is flowing by in paragraphs. It is about how love can die. PEEPING TOM About voyeurism. It is about a guy who is all alone and needs to have feelings of being superior to people, because he has nothing else to live for.
