Brian Molko
Brian Molko was born in Brussels, Belgium on December 10th, 1972 to an American father and a Scottish mother. The early years of his life were unsettled, as his Father's job as a banker required them to be continually moving around Europe, with Brian attending schools in Liberia, Lebanon and Luxembourg. After a hectic childhood, Brian set his heart on the performing arts and attended Goldsmiths College in London. Brian has often been regarded as the leader of the band, and the press often seem more interested in his social life than his proffesional one. Brian is open about his bisexuality, and doesn't deny his excesive use of narcotics in his early years in the business. One thing Brian bitterly resents is being know as the "Drug crazed sex dwarf" by the press. The 5'6" Placebo frontman has musical influences ranging from PJ Harvey to Nick Drake, and uses Fender Vi's,
Fender Jaguars and Gibson SG's. Brian writes the bands lyrics, sings, and plays guitar and bass.
