If the scalar multiple of a vector in the introduction doesn't
make much sense to you, maybe this will help.
- Drag the tail of the blue vector and compare it against vector a
(black).
- Change the scalar multiple by dragging the head of the blue vector.
- Change the magnitude or direction of vector a and notice the
changes to its scalar multiple vector.
