Shortest Route

Home Math Concepts Puzzles and Games Links

Mathematicians are lazy people who write in symbols and find the shortest way to a solution.

A math man, lives in a house near a road.  Every morning he takes out his rubbish and puts it near the road and proceed to check his mailbox.  Without fail, he always manages to put the rubbish such that the distance he takes from his house to the road to the mailbox is the shortest.
Given the situation below, if you were the math man, where would you place the rubbish?
Drag the Rubbish to a location you think will give the shortest distance and compare against the math man's.
Check Distance to verify.
