"Love is what ever you make of it." An individual or a group of people cannot define love. It is what one feels in their heart. Love is a sensory experience; something that can be experienced by only the two individuals involved. Even the two involved can have different perceptions of one another. No one can tell someone if they are too young or too old to be in love. It is impossible. It is said that even five years olds experience some sort of love. If you ask a five year old what it means to be in love, you will find that the answers are very simular with the definition an adult might give you. The butterflies; the constant smiling; the physical contact (alittle different); these are all symptoms of being bitten by the love bug.
Cheating is uncalled for! You MAY NOT cheat on you significant other under no circumstances (unless it is allowed[?]). I had a conversation with a friend and she said that she loved her boyfriend(A), and was in love with her ex-boyfriend(X). I found this rediculous! First of all, it is tough to have feelings for multiple people because you are splitting yourself. Part of yourself is devoted to A and part is devoted to X. You can never fully love A because part of yourself is in love with X, and visa-versa. Another part of the story is that she was still in love with X, but she cheated on X eight times and X cheated on her 5 or 6 times. You cannot be in love with someone and cheat on the once, let alone 8 times. You should have no problem keeping you hands to yourself if you are in love. Her answer to that comment was that they both knew that it didn't matter because they were in love and that these were just isolated instances. If you have this type of agreement, you may not be truly in love. Most people don't realize that there is a difference between being in love and loving someone. You can LOVE a sport or a food; it is tough call whether you can be in love with a sport or a food. Being in love is deeper. It involves more of your devotion to your significant other. You cannot be sidetracked by other men or women if you in love. It is impossible. Even open or closed mouth kissing shouldn't be allowed. If you are put into a situation that you feel that you are obligated to cheat(?), and you did cheat, you must tell the other party if you claim that you love them. If you love them, you would NEVER want to hurt them and would always be truthful to them. Some would say that they don't want to tell their significant other because they feel that they would hurt them more if they tell them. If you think no telling them is better, you're wrong! Keeping such valuable information is lying and if you can't be truthful with someone that you claim to be in love with, who can you be truthful with? They NEED to know, believe it or not, and most prefer to know. Now-a-days, college kids are cheating left and right and sleeping with multiple partners and they still are convinced that they are in love with their significant other. In this day of open sexuality, the definition of LOVE has to be formulated better within our own minds. Well, that's how we feel about it but yet again, you can't be told what love is, it has to be felt in the heart.
