(2.) Max and Liz are only friends and are very content with that (for now).
(3.) They are both seeing other people, nothing serious though.
(4.) Something happens and they share an innocent kiss.
(5.) Something even bigger happens and they share a very passionate kiss which turns into a very passionate night of love making.
(6.) After much arguement, they decide to try seeing each other, but will still see other people.
(7.) Max doesn't see other people ( and it was his idea) and when he sees Liz with a date on their usual date night Max gets very jealous.
(8.) This has to happen when Max sees Liz with her date... He causes a major scene, you know, the whole 'you are mine, and no one elses, I'm the only man allowed to touch you' yadayadayada... Then he has to prove his point in front of the date and everyone around them....
(9.) Finally, love conquers all and all evils are vanquished!
