Willow and Buffy sat at the base of an oak tree, talking about their friends, and laughing about what happened that day during a meeting at Giles' place.
"I mean it was sooo funny." Buffy giggled.
"Yeah, and the expression on Giles' face when Xander dropped that jelly donut." Willow laughed.
"It was priceless. Giles. Calm, cool, Watcher, reduced to almost tears and all because Xander dropped a jelly donut on the floor."
"If it hadn't fallen on his shoe, which was still covered with demon slime, I bet you anything Giles would have eaten it."
"Of course. Time for slayage." Buffy stood and quickly dusted a newly-risen vampire.
"Shall we go? Bronzing night, isn't it?" Willow shook her head regretfully.
"Nope, not tonight Buff. Studying and a date with the hot tub."
"Oh," Buffy sighed. "Tomorrow then?"
"Sure thing. G'night."
"Night Wills." They split up as soon as Buffy made sure Willow had her stake and Holy Water.

Willow walked down the quiet street and stepped into the park. Following a path through the garden area that had just been added, she stopped as her ears caught a noise behind her.
"What's a beautiful lady like yourself doing out all alone at night?" A seductive voice whispered in her ear. She spun around and came face to face with half of the Scourge of Europe.
"Spike!" She grinned and threw her arms around his waist.
"Glad I don't need to breathe." He laughed at her sheepish look and kissed her. "How's Slutty?"
"She's good, going Bronzing. I'd told her I had a date with my hot tub."
"What? Alone?" Spike pouted, sniffling for effect.
"I'd thought I'd be. What happened to your plans?"
"Jason is taking care of it. Him and Jared can handle things, I trust them with my unlife. but there's trouble."
"What?" He could smell her fear and pulled her to the bench along the pathway.
"You remember how Sunnydale was almost destoyed a few years ago." She nodded, it was the night Amy had died at the hands of a sorcerer, and permanently etched into her memory. Soon after that, Buffy and Spike had formed an allegiance, shaky, but one that held Willow's home town together.
"There's rumors that some demons want it to happen. They want to destroy the Hellmouth. They want the Slayer dead." He took an unneeded breath and stared straight into her eyes. "Willow, they've heard of your abilities, and your power. You're top on their Hit List. They all want you dead more than the Slayer." Willow stared at him in disbelieving shock.
Not Again!
Tell me what you think!
