Angel leaned over Kali and brushed her hair from her face.
"Tired, baby?" She nodded sleepily and he helped her sit up.
"Then let's get you dressed for bed, alright?"
"Ok." He slid her shirt over her head and started replacing it with a night shirt. Spike walked in and immediately growled, his vampire visage sliding into place. Kali whipped her head around and saw him.
"Spike!" He glared at Angel and Angel growled back then slowly stepped away. Spike stormed over to the bed and sat next to Kali, growling and glaring at Angel until he bowed his head in submission.
"What the hell is going on?" She demanded. Angel sighed.
"Our demons. His acknowledges you as it's mate and feels threatened by me helping you for bed, yet my demon also wants you for itself, so the next few days will mean our demons will fight for dominance to have you as their mate." Kali took a deep breath and then nodded.
"Very well then, I'll see you in the morning, Angel." He nodded and walked out. Spike let his human mask return as soon as his sire had left the room. She slid off her jeans as he stripped to his boxers. Spike lay down and she snuggled close to him.
"We're bound to each other right?"
"Yeah, pet, pretty much. Except something happened, with Angel, and we're gonna have to figure that out tomorrow." She yawned and agreed, "Now go to sleep, luv." Kali closed her eyes and let sleep claim her. <The demon accepts her unconditionally, it never did that with Dru...? He looked down at the young goddess who had haunted his thoughts for so long. <I'll never give her up,> He vowed silently. <We belong together, forever...>

Kali woke up around sunset and looked over at the peroxide blond lying next to her. She smiled and carefully slid out of bed, so as not to wake him. She opened the dresser drawer and slipped on a pair of Spike's boxer shorts.<I've got to buy me some of my own.> She thought with a grin, loving how comfortable they were. She left the room and headed downstairs. Angel looked up as she entered the kitchen.
"Morning."
"Morning? More like good evening, isn't it?" He chuckled,
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Good evening then." She grinned and took a seat at the table across from him. He pushed a glass of coffee towards her and she took a sip.
"Thanks." Angel nodded and they heard footsteps above them.
"Kali? Go where did you, luv?" Spike's groggy British accent and the way he mixed up the words made her giggle and even Angel smiled at how comical he sounded.
"How's that?" She called.
"Just tell me where you went."
"Downstairs, I am."
"Oh pet, don't mock me now, I'm sleepy."
"Aww...Poor baby." He ran down the stairs and growled as he spotted Angel sitting with her. Kali turned and glared at him as Angel growled back.
"Stop that, both of you." The vampires each pointed at the other.
"He started it." They chorused. She sighed. It was going to be a long day.
