The Police Cruiser was driven between several cottages in the Cap Bimet area and then off a cliff into the Northumberland Strait. A Cottage area resident reported hearing gun shots being fired early that morning. A revolver found on the seat of the cruiser was never properly identified neither was it sent to any Crime Lab. The Police Cruiser was then towed from the location where it was found to an unsecured area, the Shediac Fire Department. Two or three days later the Cruiser was opened again and the revolver was given to the Chief of Police. In the fall of 1987 Crime Stoppers filmed and then aired this story across, N.B.
